Richard Rash 1969-2023

Richard Wayne “Rick” Rash was born April 15, 1969, in Hobbs, New Mexico, and passed from this life on March 8, 2023 at his home in Azle.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. March 25 at The Church at Azle.

Rick attended school in Hobbs, and later at Paschal High School in Fort Worth. He was fun-loving, big-hearted and funny to the bone. He was a great carpenter who loved working with his hands. He loved fishing and camping, but most of all, he loved a good joke – even if it was at his own expense.

Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Midge Rash of Hobbs, New Mexio, and Orville “O.D.” and Pat Jones of Azle; and his best friend, Ronnie Dale Graham of Hobbs, New Mexico.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Cathy Stewart of Azle; father, James Rash and wife Liz of Burleson; sisters, Barbara Kent and husband Robby of Azle; and Jami Golden of Burleson; nieces, JoAnna Johnson and Caitlin Caswell both of Azle; nephew Alton Kade Brooks of Azle; great nephews, Preston Johnson and Kyler Brooks, both of Azle; aunts and uncles, Bob and Debbie Jones, Johnny and Sherry Jones and Tanya Burnett of Azle and Melanie Jones of Weatherford; and his best friend, Moose, a black Labrador retriever.
