Thomas Calvin Dunlap passed away on Thursday morning, April 25, 2019 at the Azle Manor nursing home in Azle, Texas. He was just shy of his 94th birthday.

Memorial visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at White’s Funeral Home in Azle, Texas. A celebration of life will be held in Slater Iowa at a later date.

Tom was born in Hopkinton, Iowa and grew up on a farm in that area. He served in the Navy as an aviator at the end of WWII. Upon his return he met Aloha Mussmann, whom he married in 1947. He was a graduate of the University of Dubuque. Tom and Aloha made their home in Slater, Iowa until they moved to Texas in late 80’s.

He spent his professional career in banking and served as president of Iowa Bankers Association.

Tom never met a stranger and loved to share his many stories. Tom traveled extensively with his wife of 71 years. He was always thankful for the life he and Aloha were able to live.

Tom is survived by his wife, Aloha; and sons, David (Mitch Speicher) Dunlap of Bondurant, Iowa, Greg (Dale) Dunlap of Cambridge, Iowa, Jeff (Ivette) Dunlap of Lake Mary, Florida and daughter, Cindy (John Leone) Rehor of Fort Worth. Tom is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
