Jacquolyn Gibbons Clark

Jackie was born on September 25, 1936 in Mascot, Nebraska and passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2021 in Azle.

Jackie was raised in rural Nebraska and graduated from Mascot High School in 1954. She married Gerald Gibbons on July 19, 1958 in Omaha. Starting as a telephone operator, Jackie worked for the Bell Telephone system for 33 years. She and “Gibb” traveled extensively and lived in Omaha, Dallas, Houston and Albuquerque during Gibb’s aviation career with Texas International, and Continental Airlines They raised two sons who also became pilots. Jackie was happiest when she was busy. In retirement, Jackie became the executive secretary for the United Way of Albuquerque.

Jackie moved to Azle in 2011 and became immersed in the community. She could always be found dancing at a benefit or lunching with friends. If there was something fun going on, Jackie wanted to be a part of it. She married Owen Clark on December 29,2018 in Azle. For the last several years they could be found in their motor coach touring the country and attending rallies. Her pride and joy was her family.

Memorials can be made to the Azle Arts Association.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Gerald Gibbons and her parents Lee and Minnie Longsine.

She is survived by her husband Owen Clark and family, son Todd Gibbons and wife Gwen of Azle; son Brett Gibbons and wife Malinda of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren Taylor Brady and husband Martin, Grant Gibbons, Garrett Gibbons, two week old great-grandson Dean Brady; sister Barbara Skiles and husband Gerald of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; brother Keith Longsine of Holdrege, Nebraska, and many loving nieces and nephews.
