Ernest Eugene Brazell, age 80, of Azle, Texas died July 10, 2019 near Azle at the residence of his son. He was born June 27, 1939 in Columbia, South Carolina, the son of Annie Mae Brunson and Ernest Welch Brazell.

He had lived in Azle, Texas since 1986.

Graveside service was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday July 16, 2019 at Midway Methodist Church Cemetery located in Columbia, South Carolina.

A memorial service will also be held at 3 p.m., July 20, 2019 in Azle, Texas at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home Bella Vista. Condolences:

Ernest enjoyed time with family, holidays, flea markets, auctions, good BBQ, western movies, being outdoors and staying busy. He worked for a local electrical contractor until he retired in the early 1990’s.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, wife Jean, his son Paul, and, two beloved great-grandchildren, Trey and Mia.

Ernest is survived by: two sons; Edwin Phillips, of Fort Worth, Texas, Ernest Brazell Jr. and his wife Hollie, of Weatherford, Texas, three daughters; Judy Henderson and her husband Timothy, of Lewisville, Texas, Debbie Rosales and her husband Andy, of Lubbock, Texas, Rose Spires and her husband David, of Lexington, South Carolina, one brother; James Brazell, of South Carolina, one sister; Ruthann Metcalf, of South Carolina, seventeen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
