Billy Lee Dolen passed away on Feb. 28, 2020 in Fort Worth.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. with funeral service beginning at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 4 at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home 850 N. Cardinal Rd. Azle, Texas 76020.

Billy was born on May 3, 1965 in San Bernardino, California to his parents, Billy O’dell Dolen and Mary Virginia McLain-Dolen.

Billy was a professional truck driver. He enjoyed the freedom of the open road and the many experiences and stories he picked up along the way. Billy was a humble man that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved his kids, his wife, family, and friends dearly. They brought so much joy into his life. In return, he was greatly loved.

Billy had a wonderful personality that kept life fun. He always had something to say or a story to tell. Billy loved to bring joy and laughter to everyone.

Billy is preceded in death by his father, Billy O’dell Dolen and his sister, Vada Garrison-Naron.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Gena Dee Dolen; daughter, Amanda Lee Dolen and her husband, Shawn; son, Andrew O’Dell Dolen; mother, Mary Virginia Dolen; brother, Lawrence E. Garrison; sister, Deborah K. Garrison-Wood and her husband, Herby; sister, Donna D. Eppinette-Williams and her husband, David; grandson, Christopher L. Dolen; along with aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends.
